Karrisa Grellner is in her third year with the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. She has been a PRIMO ACES student for three years. Karrisa is committed to the needs of rural communities throughout Missouri. She hopes to work in or around her rural hometown of Vienna. Karrisa has spent months on the MU-AHEC's Rural Track Clerkship Program. One focus during her medical experience has been to develop an educational intervention for new mothers to increase initiation and duration of breastfeeding.
